Actors Rice Ahmad and Allison Williams announced nominations for 2023 Oscars live from the Samuel Goldwyn Theater on January 24. The winners of 95th Academy Awards soon to be announced live March 12 with the host Jimmy Kimmel on ABC.
Among the first-time nominees are Rihanna for his song “Lift Me Up” from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Austin Butler with Elvis and Jamie Lee Curtis with Everything Everywhere Everything at Onceto name a few.
However, among the amazing nominations, such as Andrea Riseborough with For Leslie and Stephanie Hsu with EEAAOseveral past Oscar winners are not on the list—including Brad Pitt, Viola Davis, Tom Hanksand so on.
Everything Everywhere Everything at Once from directors The Daniels—Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert— leads the pack with 11 nominations.
Voting for members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences begins March 2 and runs through March 7.
