A Return of Spider-Man? Andrew Garfield “Definitely Tomorrow”

Fresh from a scene-stealing swing through Spider-Man: No Way Home, many fans wonder if Andrew Garfield give another crack at his version of Peter Parker. In a recent interview with different, the star of The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) said he’s “definitely open” to making his franchise a trilogy – but only if it “feels right.”

“Peter and Spider-Man, those characters are about service, for the better and a lot more,” Garfield said. “He’s a working boy from Queens who knows struggle and defeat and is very kind. I’ll try to borrow Peter Parker’s ethical framework for that, if there’s a chance to come back and tell more of that story, I need to feel confident and confident in myself.

As he explained in the interview, he easily felt certain about No Pauli. “It can’t be denied right away,” he said. “It sounds very fun, incredibly spiritual-trippy and thematically interesting. At the base level, as a Spider-Man fan, it’s enough of the idea to see three Spider-Men in the same frame.

The on-set experience turned out to be a lot of fun. “I think the first time we were all together, it was funny because it was like three ordinary male artists just being together. But then again, you just become a fan and say , ‘Oh my god, we were all in suits and we did the focusing thing!’ ”He added,“ There was talk about going to the bathroom and, you know, padding around the package … Tom [Holland] jealous because I had little zippers on my suit that I could easily get my hands on. To use his phone, he had to use his nose because he couldn’t access his hands. We will have a deeper conversation, too, and talk about our character experiences. ”

That friendship was extended to the film. “There’s a line I improvised in the movie, watched [Toby Maguire and Holland] and I will tell them that I love them. That’s all I love about them. ”

He was also grateful for the opportunity to complete some of his character’s emotional development. “I’m so thankful that I tied some loose ends for Peter that I played … It was fun, and a sense of closure for me. There were so many unanswered questions for my Peter, that we left it at that. I had to go back and heal him. And supportive too [Holland’s] Peter, and honored his character in completing the trilogy, did not interrupt or interfere with it. ”

So far, there are no plans The Amazing Spider-Man 3. Last fall, Garfield showed off his singing and dancing skills on director Lin-Manuel Miranda’s debut, tick … tick … BOOM! on Netflix.
