Across the Spider-Verse Art Shows Peter B. Parker’s Daughter

Newly released concept art from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse gives fans a closer look at Peter B. Parker’s daughter, Mayday Parker.

The art was revealed in a tweet from the official Across the Spider Verse Twitter account (via Collider). The tweet contained an image of Peter from To the Spider Verse wondering if she wants children. That image was followed by concept art of Peter with his infant daughter, art by Mayday herself, and an image of Peter from the upcoming sequel.

Comic fans may note that Mayday shares her name with Spider-Girl of Earth-982 – a world where Peter retired from being Spider-Man after losing a leg, choosing to focus of his daughter and his marriage to Mary Jane Watson. If this version one day becomes Spider-Girl in the future Verse of the Spider movie now unknown.

“Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of Verse of the Spider story, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,” reads the synopsis. “After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, the full-time, friendly neighborhood Brooklyn Spider-Man is catapulted into the Multiverse, where he meets a team of Spider-People entrusted with protecting its very existence. But when the heroes clash over how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself fighting against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero. so that he can save the people he loves.

The film was directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson. It stars Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Issa Rae, Daniel Kaluuya, Jason Schwartzman, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Greta Lee, Rachel Dratch, Jorma Taccone, Shea Whigham, and Oscar Isaac.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse produced by Phil Lord, Chris Miller, Amy Pascal, Avi Arad, and Christina Steinberg with Alonzo Ruvalcaba. The director of the first film, Peter Ramsey, and Aditya Sood are executive producing.
