Across the Spider-Verse Photo Teases Spider-Man 2099 Versus Vulture

A new one Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse photos from Sony Pictures’ highly anticipated animated sequel have been released (via Empire). The image gives fans a glimpse of Spider-Man 2099’s battle against a medieval version of Spider-Man’s famous villain the Vulture, which will be announced in Parks and Recreation vet Jorma Taccone.

The film hits theaters this coming June 2, pitting it against the upcoming horror thriller. The Boogeyman, based on a short story by Stephen King. It is also set to make its debut in the same month as other high-profile projects like Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, The Flashand Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.

The film was directed by Joaquim Dos Santos, Kemp Powers, and Justin K. Thompson. It stars Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Jake Johnson, Issa Rae, Daniel Kaluuya, Jason Schwartzman, Brian Tyree Henry, Luna Lauren Velez, Greta Lee, Rachel Dratch, Jorma Taccone, Shea Whigham, Karan Soni, Oscar Isaac, and more .

“Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of Verse of the Spider story, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,” reads the synopsis. “After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, the full-time, friendly neighborhood Brooklyn Spider-Man is catapulted into the Multiverse, where he meets a team of Spider-People entrusted with protecting its very existence. But when the heroes clash over how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself fighting against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero. so that he can save the people he loves.
