In 2017, when he won Album of the Year, the singer gave a shout out to Beyoncé, whose groundbreaking lemonade for the same award. “I can’t accept this award…the artist of my life is Beyoncé,” she said, crying. “The way you feel about me and my friends, the way you feel about my Black friends, is empowering.”
This year, Adele is again up for Album of the Year, as well as Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Music Video, and Best Music Film.
