Katy Perry’s original hit song, which launched her career in the coming years, was “I Kissed A Girl” from One Of The Men album. The single topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart in July 2008, and it became the # 1 song in the country.
“California Gurls” featuring Snoop Dogg
After Katy Perry’s successful hit “I Kissed A Girl”, some in the music biz wondered if she would continue to be a surprise hit. Katy Perry’s fifth consecutive hit song # 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 is “Last Friday Night (TGIF)”, turns Youth Dream on one of the most successful pop albums in history. The song was charted in August 2011.
“Part of me”
In 2012, Katy Perry also released Youth Dream with three new songs, called it the Confection is complete edition. The lead solo of the also-released, “Part Of Me”, another # 1 song for Katy, was released on the Billboard Hot 100 in March 2012.
