Nostalgic yet fresh, the infectious “Killing Me” is filled with sultry disco influences.
STUDENTS and THAI adapted for “Killing Me,” a unique collaboration.
Influenced by the early aughts, the disco-house track is energetic and sultry, complete with infectious vocals and a soulful edge. “Killing Me” perfectly combines the talents of Aluna and TSHA, with the powerful vocals of the former blending seamlessly with the distinctive production of the latter, who was named one of the EDM.comThe best music producers of 2021.
Aluna, who was recently featured on Skrillex’s Search For Fire LP (“Inhale Exhale”), recently confirmed that a new album is on the way. It is expected to drop later this year.
“I’ve always been a big fan of Aluna,” TSHA said in a press statement. “He’s an amazing writer and has the most unique voice that’s instantly recognizable. He’s at the top of my list of artists I want to work with so when the opportunity to write together came up I was really excited. It’s fun. to work with someone who is so pro at what they do. I also had to leave my current sound that I wanted to do and do something more house!”
An instant hit, “Killing Me” is out now from Diplo’s Mad Decent published. Listen to the new track below.
“Being a big admirer of TSHA’s production I was very happy to get the opportunity to work together, but what came out surprised us both – it was a catchy bop, but it was very catchy and fresh with that kind of originality that everyone in TSHA has a choke hold,” Aluna added.
