Gojira A 2021 U.S. fall headlining tour has been announced, scheduled to begin Oct. 11 in Salt Lake City. Kentucky hardcore band Knocked Loose and thrashers in New Zealand Alien Weapon will provide support for the October release.

The run of the fall shows comes immediately after Gojira’s play Aftershock Festival on Oct. 9 in Sacramento, California. The band will travel across the Midwest and South of Florida before heading to the highlands of New York, and will finally wrap up Oct. 29 in Cleveland, Ohio.

The dates also follow the French metal band’s walk in support of Deftones which is from August to September. That tour was previously postponed due to pandemic disease, which Deftones has now confirmed that the the performances are officially made for this summer. Gojira will also play two headlining shows in September, on days off the Deftones outing. Gigs will not include Knocked Loose and Alien Weoponry.

The announcement of Gojira’s tour comes a few days after the release of their seventh album on Friday, Strength, marking the band’s first LP in five years.

As we told ours album review, Gojira embraced their melodic part Strength, but retain the signature weight and progressive technicality of their previous work. Fortunately, it will be seen that fans will see the band performing new songs in a headlining capacity in 2021.
