Armor Wars Movie Now in Development Instead of Disney+ Series

According to THR, Marvel Studios decided that a theatrical release was a better way to tell the story they wanted. Yassir Lester, who is the head writer of the series, will write the script of the movie. No director is currently attached, but the report says the move will push Armor Wars “further down the development slate.” Cheadle previously said that production on the project would begin in 2023. As for its place in the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe, Cheadle revealed that Armor Wars Takes place immediately after the events of the Disney + series Secret Invasion.

Originally written by David Michelinie and Bob Layton and running for seven issues from December 1987 to June 1988, the comic’s story centers on the inventive genius Tony Stark as he discovers that the same top-secret tech that he used to make the Iron Man armor is now there. the hands of many deadly supervillains and wracked with guilt over the evil they have done with the suit. Faced with opposition from his government, friends, colleagues, and fellow superheroes, Stark vows to use the power of Iron Man to end this evil and take back what is rightfully his.

In the death of Stark by Robert Downey Jr. of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the two-time Oscar nominee who seems to have retired from the role, it is currently unclear how the series will approach the material or update it with Cheadle’s Rhodes at the center of the story.
