Apple Original Films has released official photos for the The Beanie Bubblethe upcoming comedy-drama star Elizabeth Banks and Zach Galifianakis. The film is set to make its debut in select theaters on July 21, followed by an Apple TV+ debut on July 28.
Beanie Bubble photos provide a first look at the main cast including Banks and Galifianakis’ characters. It centers around the origins of the stuffed toy line called Beanie Babies, which became popular in the 1990s.
What to Expect in The Beanie Bubble?
Based on Zac Bissonnette’s 2015 novel The Great Beanie Baby Bubble, the film is directed by Kristin Gore and Damian Kulash Jr. from a screenplay written by Gore. Joining Banks and Galifianakis are Sarah Snook (Succession), Geraldine Viswanathan (Blockers), Kurt Yaeger (Sons of Anarchy), Carl Clemons-Hopkins (Hacks), and Tracy Bonner.
“Why is the world suddenly treating stuffed animals like gold? Ty Warner is a frustrated toy salesman until his partnership with three women sparks his masterstroke of an idea for the biggest toy ever wanted. of history,” reads the synopsis. “Beanie Bubble is a creative story about what and who we value, and the unsung heroes whose names don’t appear on the heart-shaped tag.”
The film is produced by Ron Howard, Brian Grazer, and Karen Lunder, with Galiafinakis and Douglas S. Jones also executive producing.
