Beetlejuice 2 in the Works with Original Cast and Jenna Ortega

The long-in-the-works Beetlejuice the sequel found new life… and a new star.

by Tim Burton Beetlejuice 2 officially given the green-light, with original cast members Michael Keaton, Winona Ryderand Catherine O’Hara all onboard to return. what’s more, Jenna Ortega joined the cast as the daughter of Ryder’s character Lydia Deetz. Justin Theroux will also appear in the film in an as yet undisclosed role.

Beetlejuice 2 is set to hit theaters on September 6, 2024. Production is expected to begin in London on May 10 (via different).

Rumors of a Bettlejuice The sequel has been in the works for years, with Burton, Keaton, and Ryder all expressing varying degrees of interest in the project. In 2015 it appeared that Burton finally got the green-light from Warner Bros. RECOGNIZED it is no longer in active development. However, last year Brad Pitt’s production company Plan B embarked on the projectwith the goal of finally getting the cameras up and running.

Of course, Ortega rose to A-list status with her role as Wednesday Addams in Burton’s Netflix series, Wednesday. Casting Ortega makes perfect sense given his relationship with Burton and status as a goth icon.

Ortega too confirmed to return for the second season of Wednesdayand before recently cast in a new film opposite The Weeknd.
