Bob Saget, Comedian and Full House Star, Found Dead at age 65

Bob Saget, the veteran comedian and actor known for his role in Full house, died at age 65.

TMZ reported that Saget was found dead on Sunday (Jan. 9) inside his room at the Ritz-Carlton hotel in Orlando, Florida.

According to a statement from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, Saget “was pronounced dead at the scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case.”

Prior to his death, Saget was on a standup tour of Florida, which included a performance in Jacksonville on Saturday night. In a Tweet Posted early Sunday morning, Saget commented on his latest show, writing, “Loved tonight’s show @PV_ConcertHall in Jacksonville. Grateful audience… I have no idea I did 2 hours of set tonight.I’m glad I’m addicted to this shit again.Check out http://BobSaget.com for my 2022 dates.

For many kids in the 80s and 90s, Bob Saget will be remembered forever as “America’s Dad,” thanks to his role as Danny Tanner in the hit ABC sitcom Full house. For eight seasons between 1987 and 1995, Saget played as the patriarch of the Tanner family, a single father of three daughters who lived in a San Francisco home with his brother-in-law. Jesse Katsopolis (played by John Stamos) and best friend Joey Gladstone (played. By Dave Coulier). Candace Cameron and Jodie Sweetin played Tanner’s teenage daughters, DJ and Stephanie, while Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen took on double roles as youngest sister Michelle. Originally viewed as a special, AFHV became an unexpected hit for the network, attracting tens of millions of viewers each week. Saget hosted the series over eight episodes, spanning nearly 200 episodes.
