Damar Hamlin returned to his place.
The Buffalo Bills safety was transferred from the ICU at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center to Buffalo General Hospital in New York amid his recovery from a cardiac arrest.
“Grateful for the amazing care I received at UCMC,” the 24-year-old said tweeted on January 9. “Happy to be back in Buffalo. The docs and nurses at Buffalo General made me feel right at home!”
In fact, it wasn’t just the hospital that made him feel loved. During NFL games on January 8, players and fans gathered to show their support for Damar, with some playing his no. 3 jersey, while others kneel on the 30 yard line.
“Seeing the world come together around me on Sunday is an amazing feeling,” he said tweet. “The same love you all showed me is the same love I plan to give back to the world and more. Bigger than football!”
