Cate Blanchett Dances Wild in New Sparks Video: Watch


Sparks enlisted Cate Blanchett for the video for the title track from their new album, The Woman Crying into Her Latte. See the warehouse star fling in a sequence of Stop Making Meaning-style moves while wearing a vibrant yellow suit below.

At the team-up, Sparks brothers Ron and Russell Mael spoke different, “We met Cate Blanchett in Paris at the César Awards last year, little did we know that a year later, one of the great actors of our time (and a great person!) Kindly agreed to lend of her bootie rocking skills in the first. video from our new album, ‘The Girl Is Crying In Her Latte.’ Dreams do come true. We can sleep well tonight knowing that we will forever be able to say that we co-starred in a film with Cate Blanchett!”

Sparks has recently been involved in two films: Edgar Wright’s The Sparks Brothers documentary and the unorthodox Leos Carax musical Annette. The brothers will soon make their first foray into screenwriting with a musical epic called X Crucior.
