Chris Brown will not face criminal charges for allegedly hit a woman in Los Angeles in June, as TMZ reports. The Los Angeles City Attorney’s office has refused to file any misdemeanor charges “because of insufficient evidence,” an office spokesman told Pitchfork.

Pitchfork reached out to Chris Brown’s representatives for comment.

Los Angeles Police Department officials responded to reports of a riot at a San Fernando Valley home on Friday, June 18. Soon after, the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office began investigating the event for a potential battery case.
