Chris Pratt and Charlie Day Poke Fun in The Super Mario Bros. Movie Backlash


When Chris Pratt and Charlie’s day announced to play Mario and Luigi The Super Mario Bros. Movie, fans immediately questioned the options. In a recent Instagram video, the two stars teased the reaction, showing off different voices for their characters.

In a recent post on Chris Pratt’s Instagram, he and Day are seen with Mario and Luigi filters on their face, respectively. Pratt then laughed about how everyone couldn’t wait to hear his Mario voice, before delivering a classic “I-I, Mario” in a cheeky, deep tone. Day then “reveals” his Luigi voice, but instead of just saying words without saying anything.

The film stars Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek , and Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie Directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic (collaborators of Teen Titans Go! To the Movies) from the screenplay by Matthew Fogel (The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, Minions: The Rise of Gru). Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri and Nintendo legend Shigeru Miyamoto produced. Nintendo and Universal Pictures are co-financing the project.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie It is currently scheduled to air on April 7, 2023.
