Christine and the Queens Announce New LP, More 2023 Tour Dates

Christine and the Queens revealed the first details of his latest album, PARANOÏA, ANGEL, TRUE LOVE, which arrives June 9 via Because Music. The announcement was paired with the lead single from the French pop singer-songwriter’s fourth LP, “To be honest.”

PARANOÏA, ANGEL, TRUE LOVE originally written, produced, and produced solely by Christine and the Queens, although the album reunites the mysterious artist with producer Mike Dean after their collaboration on 2022’s Redcar the beautiful stars. On top of that, the singer boosted her star-studded support with guest features from Madonna (on two tracks!) and former duet partner 070 Shake.

In a statement, Chris shared that the project serves as “the second part of an operatic gesture” that began with Redcarwhich both take inspiration from Tony Kushner’s Tony- and Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Angels in America. His two most recent albums reflect a two-part production phase with a “colorful and absurd” sequel that represents the “no-nonsense dream space” for Angels‘ sick gay protagonist, Once, while “PARANOÏA, ANGEL, TRUE LOVE is the key to opening the heart to change, a prayer to oneself” is similar to the nature of “deep, painful becoming.”

News of the new LP came with the project’s first single, “To be honest.” Full of the singer’s signature synthy splendor, the track is accompanied by a self-directed music video. Check it out below.

Chris will support the new album with 2023 tour dates starting in San Francisco on March 13. The trek hits San Diego, Los Angeles, and more before jetting off to South America and Europe this summer – heat. The singer has also been tapped for festival appearances throughout the year including the UK’s BBC Radio 6 Music Festival in late March, Coachella in April, Glastonbury in June, etc. Tickets for US shows are available through StubHuband tickets for international dates are available through Viagogo.
