Code Orange is Working on New Songs with Smashing Pumpkins ’Billy Corgan

Code Orange working on new songs on Damaged Pumpkins Analyst Billy Corgan. The alt-rock vet posted a photo with Code Orange members in the studio, though little is known about the collaboration so far.

“Glad to share that I’ve been working with Code Orange on some of their new songs,” Corgan shared. his Instagram story.

It’s possible that Corgan helped create or write some Code Orange tracks, or maybe he just contributed instrumentals or vocals to some new songs. A famous announcement that Code Orange and Corgan have the same management, Vvett Hammer.

While Code Orange is rooted in metal, the band is definitely taking some cues from the alternative rock aesthetics that Corgan helped pioneer in the 1990s. On Twitter, Code Orange shared the same photo of three of the band members with Corgan in the studio, and added a reference to lyrics from Pumpkins ’classic“ Disarm ”and some appropriate hashtags:“ the killer of me… #justgettingstarted #respected #codecorgan. ”

That’s all we have to keep going, but the first hashtag means it’s the beginning of something … maybe the follow up on the critically acclaimed 2020 album by Code Orange At the bottom?

Code Orange spent most of the pandemic supporting the release of the album with a streaming performance and virtual content. They will also finally be seen in person in September as part of Slipknot’s Knotfest Roadshow tour and in Welcome to the Rockville festival in November.
