Cosmic Gate Advances In Their Melodic Sounds In "MOSAIIK Chapter Two" Album

The group’s foray into the world of techno will culminate in an accompanying global tour.

A year and a half later reveals the world their rising voice, Cosmic Gate have finally delivered the second chapter of their two-part album, MOSAIC.

The nine-track LP echoes the German duo’s original intention of revising their productions, flirting with a more melodic techno atmosphere. A far cry from their hard trance roots, MOSAIIK Chapter Two firmly entrenched the group in the slow-burning, introspective tracks of the red-hot genre.

Speaking about the new album, Cosmic Gate’s Nic Chagall emphasized the importance of their exploration of the genre.

“… Changing our sound is something we not only want to do, but also feel compelled to do, to stay true to ourselves,” he said.

That altered sound permeates the entire album. Standout tracks like “Emotions of Color” (with Gid Sedgwick), “Mirador” and “Retrospection” offer tinctures of trance in a deep, melodic soundscape.

Acting as a conclusion to their years of progression into the burgeoning techno scene, the Grammy-nominated group also announced an eponymous world tour. The “MOSAIIK Chapter Two Tour” kicked off last month at EDC Mexico and has upcoming stops in North America, Australia and Europe.

MOSAIIK Chapter Two is out now. Listen to the full album below and look for it on streaming platforms HERE. For travel tickets click here.
