Daft Punk Has Hidden Coordinates Of Their Spotify Tracks

More like “Random Access Mysteries.”

However announcing their break upexplosively in 2021, Daft Punkis celebrating the 10th Anniversary of their Grammy-winning album Random Access Memorythrough unearthed demos, interviewsand solo release. Now, they send fans on a quest to solve a mystery.

If you select a few songs from the aforementioned Spotify album and click on the visualizer, you will see the message “May 11, 10 AM” and show the coordinates. The songs have different coordinates but the date remains constant. Coordinates are tied to cities all “Around the World” such as New York City, Paris, Tokyo, Santa Monica, London, Buenos Aires, etc.

The popular fan page, Daft Punk Fandom took the time to list all the aforementioned coordinates so that fans can start deciphering the clues. In the embedded tweet below, you can see a short video of what happens when you select one of the affected songs on Spotify. Further discourse also lowered the /r/DaftPunk subreddit where the community started a long Google Doc to share intel and theories.

At the time of writing, it is unclear what the robotic duo is teasing. Although it is technically possible that this could be a reunion or even an announcement of a live show, fans should temper their expectations as this is the day before the release of Random Access Memory 10th Anniversary Edition album and will likely be tied to some sort of album release party or merchandise drop.

Daft Punk will make their big reveal on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 10 AM.
