Damian Lewis will return to Showtime’s Billions Season 7

Showtime has announced the official return of Emmy winner Damian Lewis BILLION after exiting the hit drama series in 2021. Lewis will reprise his role as billionaire Bobby Axelrod during the second half of the upcoming seventh season, where he is set for a recurring appearance in six episodes. Production of BILLION Season 7 is currently underway in New York.

His return comes after it was recently confirmed that Showtime is currently developing several spin-offs based on Billions for the upcoming rebranding of the premium network to Paramount + with Showtime. Series creators Brian Koppelman and David Levien are developing four potential spin-offs: MILLIONS about rising financiers; trillion about the ultra-rich; and two more untitled shows taking place in Miami and London, respectively.

“In season seven, alliances are turned on their heads,” reads the logline. “Old wounds are weapons. Loyalty is tested. Betrayal takes on epic proportions. Enemies become wary friends. And Bobby Axelrod is back, as the stakes rise from Wall Street to the world.”

BILLION currently starring Paul Giamatti, Corey Stoll, Maggie Siff, Asia Kate Dillon, David Costabile, Toby Leonard Moore, Condola Rashad, Jeffrey DeMunn, Kelly AuCoin, and Daniel Breaker.

BILLION was created and executive produced by showrunners Brian Koppelman and David Levien. The series was also created by Andrew Ross Sorkin. You can stream previous seasons on Showtime platforms.
