If you ask us, there has been a lot of progress lids from March 2020. Dave Gahan throw his hat in the ring with the upcoming album Imposter, to see the Depeche Mode The singer created designs on twelve songs with his longtime musical partner Soulsavers – aka Rich Machin. The album, which ends Nov. 12 via Columbia, will include covers of expensive classics such as Neil Young’s “A Man Needs a Maid” and Bob Dylan’s “Not Dark yet.”
“When I listen to other people’s voices and songs – especially when they sing them and interpret the words – I feel at home,” Gahan said in a statement. “I know it. It comforts me more than anything. No one has performed on the record that I haven’t been touched by.… I know we’re doing something special, and I expect to feel it in other people and take them on a little class trip – especially people who have loved music for many years. ”
Unlike their previous collaborations, which were mostly remote, Imposter recorded live at Shiburi-La Recording Studio in Malibu with a full band. “This is the first time we’ve all been in one space,” Gahan added. “It’s kind of lucky [timing] as well. Coming to Shangri-La every day, it’s embarrassing. We have coffee, come in, and work. ”
