Despite the tragedy, chaos and confusion, the show must go on.
Leaving Laurela musical duo that once appeared on late Pierce Fultonreleased their second posthumous album, when silence comesthrough Anjunadeep. Fulton died tragically in April 2021 from an apparent suicide after struggling with his mental health.
The release of when silence comes said to mark “a new chapter” in the saga of Leaving Laurel. Bandmates Gordon Huntley and Griff Fulton—Pierce’s brother—dedicated 2021’s self-titled debut album in his memory.
Huntley said that recording the new album allowed them to find not only themselves, but also purpose after Pierce’s death. By creating it, they were able to mourn and channel their memories into a beautiful eulogy.

“This is the album I always hoped Pierce and I would make together one day,” Huntley said in a press release shared by EDM.com. “This is my attempt to continue the dream we had, to bring what we started with our first album to a secret place in the front of the club. To create a soundtrack for the moments when everyone is standing. A record that will showcase the culmination of every unique influence we share as friends. A record that will be very important to both of our lives. A record that I hope will make him proud.”
“It’s the hardest I’ve ever done anything in my entire life,” Huntley continued, “and the proudest I’ve ever been in any music I’ve ever done.”
