Made by Bejar LABYRINTHITIS with longtime collaborator and producer John Collins and the band Destroyer. The album is usually written in 2020 and recorded next spring at the peak of solitude. Bejar and Collins send ideas back and forth from their respective locations: Bejar at home in Vancouver, and Collins on Galiano Island.

“I had an idea to write a couple lines on the idea of‘ mystery ’and‘ nothing goes, ’because they’re two of my favorite themes,” Bejar says in his new song on a press release. “That and the Grim Reaper and being chased by a silent, unknown object that always hides a foot to your left. Especially as the decay of the world becomes less abstract. Also wants to write about the romance of horror. The song ‘Tintoretto, It’s for You’ says all these things, surprisingly so does the video.

Bejar came out on tour later this year. Return the interview to Pitchfork’s profile “Dan Bejar Serenades the Apocalypse of the Destroyer. ”
