Devonte Hynes scored the new film by director and writer Paul Schrader, Master gardenerand he has now released his soundtrack album (via Milan Records). The album closes with Mereba’s cover of SG Goodman’s “Space and Time”. Listen to the new album below.
Master gardener premiered last year at the Venice International Film Festival. The movie stars Joel Edgerton as a horticulturist at an estate called Gracewood Gardens. This is Schrader’s first film written and directed since 2021 The Card Counter.
Hynes has composed music for many movies and television series, including Palo Alto, Queen and Slim, We Are Who We Areby Gia Coppola Mainstreamon Netflix Afterand HBO’s In Treatment. His latest Blood Orange album, Black Swanarrived in August 2018.
