Dilly Dally Break Up, Share Last Song: Listen


Toronto indie rockers Dilly Dally broke up. The band revealed the news to Instagram today (March 2), wrote: “It is time for us to move on and continue our separate journeys.” The statement continued: “We want to say goodbye on a positive note. That’s why we’re releasing two new songs today. Recorded close to home in Toronto, it naturally took place over the last year or so.”

Besides releasing two new songs, Dilly Dally has announced a farewell show. The concert will take place on May 27 at the Toronto venue Lee’s palace with guests Bad Waitress and Breeze. ticket go to the sale tomorrow.

Dilly Dally formed in 2009, and released their debut full-length disease in 2015. Their second and final LP HEAVEN arrived in 2018. The quartet featured singer/guitarist Katie Monks, guitarist Liz Ball, bassist Jimmy Tony, and drummer Ben Reinhartz.

Thank you to everyone who came to see us perform, to the artists who inspired us, and to everyone in the extended DD family. It is time for us to move on and continue our journeys separately.
