UK DJ Paul Geddes, of the duo Geddes & Gioia, completed an impressive marathon show to raise thousands of donations to support children affected by cerebral palsy.
From 5AM to 1AM the next morning, Geddes delivered 20 hours of non -stop music. In the midst of the pandemic, he made a habit of hosting six-hour performances via livestream, and his latest idea was an evolution of that concept.
Despite the longer set duration, Geddes was not short of energy in the full run. Measurements after the show showed he logged 84,000 steps in the process and as a result dropped nearly 6lbs, according to Wirral Globe.
Geddes ’efforts led to support Continue the ‘n’ Step, a charity aimed at supporting children affected by cerebral palsy and their families. He broke his initial £ 1,000 goal in large numbers, effectively raising £ 5,000 to support their cause.
Geddes ’professional history includes 25 years of military service and experience in private security. Given his career path it may not be a surprise that he used the will and discipline to make such a high achievement. The DJ set the same physical challenges for himself before; he had previously completed a heavy work 842 miles run while carrying 25kg to support NHS charities.
