New music from Dolly Parton is on the way. Today, the country icon announced the upcoming release of his 48th (!) Solo album Dagan, Rose, Dagan, is scheduled to be released on March 4.
The LP will serve as a accompanying piece in Parton’s novel of the same name, which he co -authored with James Patterson and is set to hit shelves three days after March 7th.
Before the studio set, the singer shared the lead single “Big Dreams and Faded Jeans,” explaining in a statement, “A lot of people come to Nashville with their sacks of songs. Whether they’re running from anything or not, they’re running towards the future. That’s part of ‘Many Dreams and Faded Jeans’.
“Wear my jeans, my favorite shirt/ Lift up my boots and hit the dirt/ Finally do something I’ve dreamed of for years,” Parton sang on the hopeful track. “You don’t know what to expect / Somewhat scared, but what the heck / My desire is always more than my fear.”
In addition to singles, Dagan, Rose, Dagan will also feature collaborations with Ben Haggard (“Demons”), Joe Nichols (“Lost and Found”), and Richard Dennison (“Love or Lust”).
