Donald Trump “Allowed” People to Be “Publicly Racist”

KISS founder Gene Simmons formerly a contestant in Donald TrumpThe TV network program The Celebrity Apprentice and was friendly with the former president before he took office. Now, Simmons has come out to denounce Trump’s leadership for the normalization of racism and conspiracy theories.

In a recent interview with SPIN, Simmons discusses the cause-and-effect of Trump’s behavior and policies. As is often the case with Simmons, there are no chopped words.

“I know the past [US] president, ”Simmons said. “I knew him before he entered politics. Look at what the lord is doing in this country and the polarization-getting all the bumps to climb high. In the past, you were ashamed to be racist in public and out there with conspiracy theories. Now it’s all obvious because he allowed it. ”

Simmons compared Trump the “businessman” against Trump the president.

“You have a different responsibility whether you’re a citizen or an entrepreneur,” Simmons said. “You don’t make a policy. It does not affect life and death. If you are in a position of power, it can affect lives. ”

He added: “I don’t think he’s a Republican or a Democrat. He’s not for himself, any way you get there. And in the last election, more than 70 million people bought this hook. , line and sinker.

Simmons isn’t overly complimenting current U.S. president Joe Biden, though, suggesting he might not be eligible for another term, if he decides to run again.

“The current president [Joe Biden], I like ethics and morality – not a charismatic guy, unfortunately, “Simmons said.” The first word I always hear from people, even friends is ‘weak.’ I don’t think he should run next. Then who’s around? There are no stars and people always vote for the stars, no matter what they believe in. The cult of personality. Americans are amazed at the star: ‘There are Is Kylie a new lip gloss? F ** k! ‘”

In the past, Simmons has defended Trump’s propensity for incendiary comments, comparing it to his own relevance to non -color statements. However, Simmons also said he did not “need” to vote for Trump or Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election and declined the invitation for KISS to play in Trump’s 2017 inauguration.

As for KISS, they kicked off a new European leg on their ongoing farewell trip on June 1 in Dortmund, Germany. They will then hit Australia in late August before returning to the States for Stronger Than Life and Aftershock autumn festivals. Get tickets to most of their upcoming movies through Ticketmaster.
