Drake Belts Out “I Want It That Way” with Backstreet Boys: Watch


Drake became the sixth member of Backstreet Boys on Saturday, July 2 by making a surprise appearance during the boy band’s stop in Toronto.

At the end of the show, the quintet brought in the rapper to help them create their classic hit “I Want It That Way” for his hometown, but not before Drizzy told the delighted audience about his personal connection to the song.

“At age 13, I had a bar mitzvah,” he explains each Rolling Stone, “And at my bar mitzvah, for the first time in my life, this woman I loved approached me and one of the most beautiful songs in the world was playing, and she asked me if I would dance with her. And it was the first time I felt recognized, and it was the first time I felt like I wanted to be cool. ”

Drake appeared to have a time in his life as he ran the Top 10 hit from 1999 with the group, and even got a surprise when Howie Dorough included a snippet of his own 2013 single “Hold On, We ‘re Goin’ Home ”to the song.
