Elliot Page “Grateful To Be Alive” Post-Transition Journey

“There were obviously very difficult moments. I felt like I couldn’t do it in a lot of ways,” Elliot told the magazine, about his personal journey. “But now, I’m alone and grateful to be here and alive and taking one step at a time.”

People published an excerpt of the first chapter, in which he wrote about a same-sex friendship that became intimate months before the premiere of Junothe 2007 film that earned him an Oscar nomination.

“My experience as a trans person and this life that I have, and the privilege that I have doesn’t represent the reality of most trans lives,” Elliot told the outlet, but added that he thinks the representation and visibility “significant.”
