Live from New York, it was … an unexpected option for the host.
Saturday Night Live made waves in April when the show revealed that the eccentric Tesla CEO Elon Musk would have gone to Studio 8H at Rockefeller Center to serve as host for the Mother’s Day show during season 46 on May 8. The decision was met the high eyebrow, as Musk isn’t the usual artist promoting a project or musician looking to prove that they can do more than just sing. After all, the famous South African centibillionaire has nothing to do with the arts of making anything.
However, Musk is not the first unwanted hosting choice Lorne Michaels Has since made the nightly show debuted on NBC in 1975.
