Elon Musk: Twitter job cuts are accelerating and he will rehire staff

Viewers and analysts believe that Elon Musk may live to regret the brutally cut the work he did on Twitter when he brought up the social media site—and it turns out they were right.

It’s clear that Musk won’t “belittle” anyone who has left, but said he’s heard from other tech CEOs who feel encouraged by his moves to ax the headcount.

Some business leaders were open in their praise of the policy.

“We really need to hire people,” Musk said. “And if they don’t get mad at us they’ll probably rehire some of the people who were let go.”

Musk may be out of the proverbial pan and into the frier when it comes to hiring, having announced this week that he is now wants to sign every hire and contractor EV manufacturer working with Tesla.

In an internal email, Musk wrote: “I want to get a better understanding of our hiring. The VPs should send me a list of their hiring requests in the department once a week.

Whether or not he’ll adapt Tesla’s hiring policy remains to be seen—though, he has previously shown what Twitter’s hiring looks like.

Responding to a luck story last year about interest in the company’s job skyrocketing if Musk’s purchase went through, the tech titan tweeted: “If Twitter Completed the acquisition, the company will be super focused on hardcore software engineering, design, infosec and server hardware.
