Farmer Wants a Wife Stars Reveal the Hardest Part of Dating


These farmers have a lot of range houses.

In the new reality dating show Farmer Wants Wifepremiering March 8 on Fox, four farmers—Hunter Grayson, Ryan Black, Landon Heaton and Allen Foster—inviting a group of city women to their rural, blue-collar living in hopes of finding love.

It’s easy, of course, to think these farmers are nothing more than fake cowboys playing dress-up for the cameras. If that’s your assumption, though, they’ll want to invite you to visit.

“Out!” Landon, a 35-year-old cattleman and farmer from Stillwater, Okla. news “See if you can do it one day. I’ll give you one day on my ranch. If you can do it, I’ll give you my respect.”

Similarly, Allen, a 32-year-old cattle rancher from Williamsport, Tenn. who spoke to E! while driving his semi-truck through Kansas, said, “I tell them, ‘Come visit, let’s hang out.’ I’ll just let that speak for itself.”

Ryan, a 32-year-old horse trainer and breeder from Shelby, NC hopes Farmer Wants Wife helps viewers gain a deeper appreciation of how they make their living.

“The way we live is not for others,” Ryan told E! news “We love what we do. We didn’t know it would become a part of our lives. We didn’t do it for anything. We did it because our grandparents did it, our great-grandparents did it. us. Without it, we would be half of who we are.”
