Gabrielle Union50, and her husband Dwayne Wade41, looked fashionable as can be when they attended the 38th annual Film Independent Spirit Awards in Los Angeles, CA on Saturday. The actress stunned in a purple and black sequin blazer dress with black and silver platform heels while the former professional basketball player rocked a gray and black pinstripe blazer over a white turtleneck top, gray pants, and black shoes. They both posed on the carpet at the event and were all smiles as Gabrielle wore her long hair down and accessorized it with a necklace.
Gabrielle and Dwyane were joined by several other stars, including Gabrielle’s co-star Jeremy Pope, at the award show. The former was also nominated for a Best Supporting Performance award for his role in The Inspection. The lovebirds seemed to be having a blast as they held hands in front of the cameras before the festivities began.
Before Gabrielle and Dwyane attended the award show, he took it Instagram to show photos them preparing. One snapshot shows them posing in front of a bookcase as the doting hubby holds his wife. “Allowing the spirit to use me tonight! #IndieSpiritAwards,” Gabrielle captioned the post.
If Gabrielle wasn’t enjoying career-related events, she wasn’t working on films. He recently revealed that he is working a Bring It On CONNECT, 23 years after the release of the original film. “We’re making a sequel that centers on [Clovers],” Gabrielle, who stars as Kirsten DunstThe opposite of the character of Isis, in the original, speaks ET on January 20. “We did it.”
A few months before the confirmation, Gabrielle took it Twitter on announcement of the sequel by responding to a fan who posted about the movie’s 22nd anniversary. “Hmmmm so Isis has a teenager #BringItOn,” she wrote. Some fans immediately noticed and shared their excitement with various energetic responses proving that they can’t wait to see the upcoming film.
