Gal Gadot Says Viral “Imagine” Cover “In Poor Taste”

In the end, Gal Gadot told what we have always known to be true: That “Imagine” cover was an absolute dream. As we approach the second anniversary of the popular clip – in which Gadot and his A -list friends tried to sing John Lennon’s hit – the actress finally expressed some regret, admitting that it was “bad that taste. “

“I called Kristen [Wiig] and I said, ‘Listen, I want to do this thing,’ “Gadot said InStyle in his thought process behind the viral clip, which was immediate mocked on social media. “The pandemic was in Europe and Israel before it came here [to the US] in the same way. I could see where everything was going. but [the video] not yet in season. It’s not the right time, and it’s not the right thing. It’s in bad taste. It’s all pure intention, but sometimes you don’t get hit, right? I feel like I want to take the air out of it, to [event] a wonderful opportunity to do that. ”

In case you forgot (good luck!), Gadot kicked off the COVID-19 pandemic through an Instagram video of him singing “Imagine,” along with far-reaching contributions from a crew of artists including already Wiig, Will Ferrell, Jamie Dornan, and Natalie Portman. “We are in this together, we will get through it together,” he wrote in the caption, seemingly forgetting that he was rich and very famous.
