Gambit of Thieves Film Rights Acquired at Lionsgate

Lionsgate has announced that it has emerged the winner of the bidding war for motion picture rights in the upcoming young adult novel. Gambit on Thieves.

Written by Kayvion Lewis, Gambit on Thieves described as a young adult thriller. The first book in the series is currently scheduled to be published in the fall of 2023.

Steven Caple Jr. (Creed II) is set to oversee motion picture adaptation, while also producing with Christina Hodson of Hodson Exports and production partner Morgan Howell. Lewis is set to executive produce, while Meredith Wieck and Jon Humphrey will manage Lionsgate. Wyck Godfrey, Isaac Klausner, and Annika Patton will manage Temple Hill, and Christina Hodson and Morgan Howell will manage Hodson Exports.

“Lionsgate, Temple Hill, Hodson Exports, and Steven Caple Jr.? Please don’t wake me up from this dream,” Lewis said in a statement after the acquisition. “Temple Hill is one of the heaviest hitters. to adapt to YA, so I know Gambit on Thieves It would have been in bright hands, but add one of the most beautiful studios in Hollywood, a seasoned pro like Christina, and also one of the best directors in town and it’s no surprise I was asked if it was is true.
