Guardians of the Galaxy 3 Director Explains Why He Can’t Direct Loki Season 2

The show has a different style, and Gunn is also known to have one. The show would be a good fit for him, as it discusses the cosmic aspects of the MCU. Gunn has a big hand in shaping the cosmic side of the MCU, therefore Loki just there in his alley. But, because he is now working on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, it is reasonable that he cannot direct Loki.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is said to be the end of Gunn’s work on the franchise, and it’s clear the director is working hard to end the trilogy on the high note. After the critical success of The Suicide Squad, Gunn will be a sought -after director when he’s done Galaxy Guardians 3. Gunn has joked before that he has other ideas for DC projects afterwards.
