GWAR to Release Signature Ragnarök Rye Whiskey

HUBBUB set to release their new signature whiskey, Ragnarök Rye. A set of 200 cases will be available on May 28 through the Catoctin Creek Distilling Company.

As the story goes, the distillers teamed up with interplanet barbarians in February, when Ragnarök Rye was supposed to come out. But the band, famous for their drinking, drank all their own whiskey.

“We knew working on this whiskey with legendary shock rock band GWAR would be difficult, but we didn’t know it would be difficult,” Catoctin Creek founder and general manager Scott Harris said in a press release. “Usually, we control the production process, but this time the band members drank everything we buried, and were then asked to make bottle toppers using the unique metal mineral that came from the ingredients. troll. Who knew trolls had such good dental plans? ”

“I know our original schedule was shot,” he continues. “I mean, it’s really cool to have unique metal in our bottle design, but it’s hard to get around all the trolls.”

Basically, each bottle has a cast-metal collectible bottle topper with five GWAR members: Blóthar the Berserker, Balsac the Jaws of Death, Jizmak da Gusha, Beefcake the Mighty, and Pustulus Maximus.

“If whiskey is a liquid sunlight, this rye is a scorching foreign sun,” Blóthar explains.

92-proof rye whiskey is aged in burnt fresh white oak, then maple sugar and cherrywood. In a present virtual tasting of GWAR, whiskey and spirits author Fred Minnick calls Ragnarök Rye “very good” and a “great addition to the rye whiskey scene.”

The new whiskey is a complete compliment to GWAR’s new CBD line, Bud of the Gods, available HERE in a partnership with Consequences. Recently, Delta-8 gumma and a collector box added to the line, which already includes premium CBD hemp flower and pre-roll, along with a variety of accessories and clothing.

An initial 200 cases of Ragnarök Rye (92 proof / 46% ABV) will be available through national distributors in Catoctin Creek starting May 28, with “more in the near future.” For more information, visit Catoctin Creek’s website.
