Tenza remembers how he grew up as a street urchin, stealing and beating people for a living. Currently, Tenza and Nurugai continue to wander the island. Suddenly, a Tensen appears, and Tenza manages to slice them before Tenza and Nurugai run away. Shion saves them from Tensen, giving the three of them time to escape. Shion explained that he was on his way back to the mainland but found no current from the island.

Tenza suggested that the three of them find more people to try to find their way back. Shion asks why Tenza is protecting Nurugai, and he says that he killed his criminal because he tried to seduce her. Tenza explains his reasons for helping Nurugai, and Shion accepts. Eventually, Tensen caught up with them. Shion gets his throat damaged, and Tenza uses his sword to cut Tensen again. However, Tensen hits Tenza with a fatal wound.

In a flashback, Shion took Tenza because he sensed the potential in her. Tenza was fed up and wanted to quit. Shion allowed it on the condition that Tenza hit him. One day, Eizen takes Tenza to a cemetery, where he mentions how Shion killed one of his former juniors. Tenza begins punching Tensen, sacrificing himself to allow Shion and Nurugai to escape.
