Apple TV+ the officer was released Hijacking trailer for the upcoming suspense thriller drama, featuring Idris Elba as a highly trained crisis negotiator whose seven-hour flight to London is overtaken by terrorists. Now, he will take control of the situation to save the lives of his fellow passengers and get home safely to his family.

What is Apple TV+ Hijacking?
“Told in real time, the 7-episode series is a tense thriller that follows the journey of a hijacked plane as it makes its way to London on a seven-hour flight, and the authorities on the ground scramble for of the answers,” reads the synopsis. “It introduces Sam Nelson, a brilliant negotiator in the business world who must take action and use all his tricks to try and save the lives of the passengers – but, his risky strategy could be his undoing. Meanwhile, Panjabi counter-terrorism officer Zahra Gahfoor was on the ground when the plane was hijacked and became part of the investigation.
Hijack was created by writer George Kay (LUPINE) and director Jim Field Smith (Truth Seekers), who previously collaborated with Netflix’s criminal. Joining Elba are Emmy winner Archie Panjabi, Christine Adams, Max Beesley, Eve Myles, Neil Maskell, Jasper Britton, Harry Michell, Aimee Kelly, Mohamed Elsandel, and Ben Miles.
The series is executive produced by Kay, Field Smith, Elba, Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta and Kris Thykier. It is a production of 60Forty Films, Idiotlamp Productions, and Green Door Pictures.
The series will be available for streaming on June 28.
