Home World: Home Learning Resources

From the way we work, to the way we know, to the way we connect-a lot has changed now. And it keeps changing at a rapid pace. As families spend more time together at home, parents know how to balance working away from caring for and educating their children. It was a challenging time, there was no doubt about it.

In response to the changing landscape and with the support of families navigating this new reality, Bright Horizons is pleased to introduce Home World.

A One Stop Resource for Home Learning

Designed by our education team, Home World designed to provide the tools, inspiration, and structure for families to confidently create a home education experience.

Each week, we will share videos and activities from all of our curriculum areas including yoga and mindfulness, STEM learning, Language Practices, story time, cooking, and more. Our hope is that families will feel more empowered to facilitate their child’s learning at home, and have fun while they are here.

How to Use Parents Home World

Bright Horizons parents are already starting to incorporate WAH activities into their routine. Let’s see how things go.

“We use WAH every day in our 2.5 years of age. We love having a tool that we can communicate in a pinch without having to know straws for activity ideas. The such an activity is the perfect balance of learning and fun and definitely very age-appropriate. We do “Match the Sticky Note Number”Recently. Etta loved running around the house looking for sticky notes and we helped her match them to the numbers, which she would have us repeat the number. ” – Shira

K Prepare the student for the home-learning activity“We were more than happy to try Road Trip / Hiking and Yogi says – Animals. Both were as successful as afternoon activities, when my son was bored that I hadn’t finished work. He probably spent about 20 minutes deciding what activity to do, 20 minutes getting ready to do the activity, and 20 minutes actually doing it. Both activities quietly require a little help from me, but are usually tasks he can do on his own. Both are happy. We look forward to trying many more of them in the coming weeks! ” – Allison

use Home World as a tutorial, and try to combine activities and experiences that work for your family and situation. Let us know what you think about the resources in the comments below!
