And while Teddi did not declare all with her young children, she realized that everyone could benefit from talking about their health and well-being.

“If you’re having a day and you can’t fake it, don’t,” Teddi told E!. “Let yourself feel the emotions. I had a day where I cried, and I went through all the hypotheticals—the good, the bad, the ugly—and sat there with my feelings and wrote it. And then, I was like, I can do it.”

When he tried to hide his emotions, it only made him feel worse. “You see how many people are affected by things after you talk about it,” shared the 41-year-old, who checks in with her doctors every three months. “But if you’re not talking about it, you’re dealing with it alone and it’s going to feel lonely.”
