Ilana Glazer Says “Enough Time” Must Pass

It seems like every TV movie in the past these days is just a press release from a revival or reunion; after all, just a few hours before writing this post, FX announced that Justified would have returned for the new limited series. So, what about launching another beloved 2010s favorite cable for a reunion – one missing Timothy Olyphant in a cowboy hat, but showing up It’s in Jacobson and Ilana Glazer, two of the funniest women to impress our television screens?

like Wide City Fans may have a while to wait for a reunion, unfortunately. The literal issue is “time.” During a press day for the upcoming Apple TV+ series The Afterparty, consequences asked Glazer about the potential for a Wide City reunion – in particular, what is required?

“Just tons and tons of money. And I say liquid, I want money in suitcases, ”was the first, and clearly mocking, Glazer replied. But then, he offered a more realistic answer.

“I think there will be enough time to pass so that Abby and I can be satisfied outside Wide City, because that journey is ten years long and very important for us, ”he said. “I started that project when I was 22 and I still look 22, so I just want to give it enough time that when there is a reunion, it really looks like a reunion. It’s hard to say now. ”

Wide City a journey, as Glazer mentions, that began as a web series in 2009, before eventually becoming the cable comedy that debuted at Comedy Central in 2014. The series lasted five seasons before yet Jacobson and Glazer decided to end it in 2019.

For now, however, Wide City Fans can look forward to Glazer’s role The Afterparty, debuting on Jan. 28 on Apple TV+. Jacobson’s next big project in the universe is the Amazon Prime Video series adaptation of A League of Their Own, which he starred in and wrote with Will Graham.
