Impossible 8 Photos Reveal First Look at Hannah Waddingham

Director Christopher McQuarrie took the Instagram to confirm that Ted Lasso star Hannah Waddingham has officially joined the ensemble cast of Mission: Impossible – Dead Count Part Two.

The movie serves as the eighth and final installment of the blockbuster spy action franchise. Further details about Waddingham’s character are still under wraps. Despite this, McQuarrie has already shared a first-look photo of his mysterious character.

Waddingham first gained recognition for her memorable role as Septa Unella in Game of Thrones. She received critical acclaim for her breakout performance as Rebecca Welton in the Apple TV+ comedy Ted Lassowhich earned her an Emmy award for Outstanding Supporting Actress.

After the huge critical and commercial success of the previous two films, writer/director Christopher McQuarrie has signed a deal with the studio to return to write and direct the next two installments. Tom Cruise and Hayley Atwell together in the Mission: Impossible – Dead Count returning franchise alums Rebecca Ferguson (Doctor Sleep), Simon Pegg (Ready Player One), Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction), Vanessa Kirby (Hobbs and Shaw), and Henry Czerny (Ready or Not).

Upcoming films will be introduced Mission: Impossible recent Shea Whigham (Joker), Pom Klementieff (Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Avengers: Infinity War), and Essay by Morales (The Bamba, Titans), who will replace Nicholas Hoult (Mad Max: Fury Road) for the villainous role. In addition to Waddingham, Dead Count Part Two will also include Holt McCallany, Nick Offerman, and Janet McTeer.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Count Part One and Part Two will be released on July 14, 2023, and June 28, 2024, respectively.
