Inside the Wonderful Normal World by Dannielynn Birkhead

Of course, during these times, Larry goes to great lengths to ensure that the only rollercoaster Dannielynn rides is the literal variety.

Despite the stranger-than-fiction events surrounding his birth and first few months, the high schooler led a life that was, by all accounts, fairly standard. In their 10,000-square-foot Kentucky home, the 16-year-old has a pet lizard, practices the violin, makes homemade slime and argues with Dad about how much time he spends on his cell phone. (She’s obsessed with Snapchat, obvs.)

But the two are still firmly planning joint Halloween costumes (in 2018 they chose the Exorcist theme), enjoy family trips to Dollywood and Walt Disney World and make their annual pilgrimage to the Kentucky Derby. (Coverage of this year’s event begins at 12 pm EST May 6 on NBC and Peacock.)

And they never miss a single opportunity to talk about the legacy that Anna Nicole left behind. Although they usually mark the February 8 anniversary of her death with cake and her best stories, “In our house, every day is Anna’s day,” he told E! News in 2019. “We talk about him and remember him all the time.”

For Larry, it was a chance to learn the positives of the life he had with Anna Nicole. “When we talk about Anna Nicole, there are a lot of happy moments for her,” he said February 2021 20/20 special. “There are a lot of highs before there are a lot of lows.”

Larry continued, “Anna should be remembered as a larger than life truly caring, giving person. A beautiful woman who loved her fans and loved her family.”
