Is Paul Walker returning in Fast and Furious 10?

Brian O’Conner is a Fast and Furious fan-favorite. While actor Paul Walker sadly died in a car accident in 2013, he appeared posthumously in the franchise. With the release of Hurry X Just around the corner, fans are wondering if Walker will return for the tenth Fast and Furious installment.

Will Paul Walker return as Brian in Fast X?

Yes, Paul Walker will return as Brian in Fast X. The news was confirmed earlier this year by the Fast and Furious 10 director Louis Leterrier. Leading actor Vin Diesel also speaks volumes about what the franchise can do forever without goodbye of the deceased actor.

Walker’s character Brian remains a part of the Fast and Furious universe, and the actor’s siblings film as body doubles. Combining that with CGI, Walker’s presence lingers on screen. Walker was last seen in Fast & Furious 7, but Brian has been mentioned throughout the movie series.

Due to the sensitive nature of the subject and the technical difficulty of accurately (and respectfully) portraying Paul Walker’s acting in the movie, viewers should expect only a brief cameo. Those hoping for Brian to return as a key protagonist, alongside Dom for most of the movie, are likely to be disappointed. Keep those expectations in check. Brian may have been referenced multiple times, but his actual appearance was probably short and sweet.

Walker’s 24-year-old daughter Meadow Walker will also make a cameo appearance in Fast X. How big of a role she’ll have to play in the movie — and the future franchise — remains to be seen. Staying with the family theme, there is also a focus throughout the film on Dom Toretto and his son, Brian Marcos.
