If there is an episode of 11, it will be the first episode of a new season. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen, as creator Jesse Armstrong confirmed that season 4 will be the final season. He explained that he wanted the show to “go out strong” and on a high note (via New Yorker). Sometimes less is more and you can have too much of a good thing, so it makes sense, even if it might disappoint a lot of fans.

That’s not to say that the Succession universe can’t be explored in spin-off movies. In the same New Yorker interview, Armstrong said, “there could be another in an allied world, or allied characters, or some of the same characters.”

While the potential for a spin-off is good news, as diehard Succession fans can relate to that glimmer of hope, it won’t continue the story of Succession. Best compared to Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, which are in the same universe and have some of the same characters, but are kept separate.
