Jack Black to Lead Farrelly Brothers Christmas Comedy

After more than two decades since working together in a comedy film Shallow ExGolden Globe nominee Jack Black has finally teamed up with filmmaking duo Peter Farrelly and Bobby Farrelly in a new project titled. Dear Santa. According to The deadlineBlack has signed on for the lead role in the Farrelly Brothers’ upcoming Christmas comedy.

Dear Santa will be directed by Bobby Farrelly from a screenplay he is currently co-writing with Ricky Blitt, based on an original idea from Dan Ewen. The film will center on a young man, who every year writes letters to Santa. Unbeknownst to him, his letters were actually mistakenly sent to Satan.

The project will be produced by Peter and Bobby Farrelly along with Jeremy Kramer. Besides Black, the film also enlists Robert Timothy Smith, Keegan-Michael Key, Brianne Howey, Hayes MacArthur, PJ Byrne, Kai Cech, and newcomer Jaden Carson Baker to join the cast. Grammy nominee Austin Post aka Post Malone (Spenser Confidential) was also filmed for the movie.

Black is known for starring in many hit comedies such as Rock School, free nachos, The HolidayTHE Kung Fu Panda franchise, Tropical thunderstorm, Goosebumpsand the new Jumanji movies. Before appearing on Dear Santahis next high-profile projects include The Super Mario Bros. Movie and the live-action Borderlands film, where he will voice the respective roles of Bowser and Claptrap.
