James Gunn Writes King Shark With Mind Sylvester Stallone


When fans saw their first look at James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad, one of the things that stood out immediately was the King Shark. In a recent conversation with Den sa Geek, Gunn talks about the fan-favorite, and how he wrote the character with an actor and an actress is just on the mind.

In the interview, Gunn said he knew he wanted to use an animal for the film, and because King Shark is about Suicide Squad in more recent comics, he was chosen. When it comes to character, he knows that Sylvester Stallone is the perfect actor to portray him.

“Surprisingly, while I was able to get any artist I wanted for film roles, I started to risk and write for artists I didn’t know,” Gunn reveals. “So for example, I write Bloodsport for Idris Elba, that I have never met him, but is a big fan of his work in other areas. And I knew Sly, and I knew him very well. I wrote the role of King Shark with his mind on his mind. ”

Fans didn’t get a chance to see most of King Shark in the film, but only from his brief appearance in the trailer, he seems to be the favorite from the very beginning. The Suicide Squad is scheduled to release on August 6, 2021, where it will launch in theaters and on HBO Max.
